We think we can all agree that an Asado is not complete without a quality Chorizo. But not all of them are good, and choosing the right one can be a bit tricky. Luckily, we’re here to help you identify and pick the best Chorizo for your weekend Asado.
You want to keep your Chorizo on the leaner side. It’s easy to tell when you cut it. However, the label should state the meat/fat ratio.
When you cut a quality Chorizo and leave it at room temperature for a while, it starts to sweat a little. Poor quality Chorizos will develop a plastic appearance.
Fresh Chorizos release fat when you put them on grills or pans. However, an excessive amount of fat is not a good sign.
You can find the best Chorizos at Gaucho Ranch! Our favorite is our Argentinian Style Pork Sausages.
